Hebden Bridge is a warm and quirky place – home to a wondrous mix of independent shops, plenty of coffee & cake, dog friendly, duck friendly and suitable for ramblers, cyclists, tourists, families, skate boarders, artists, buskers..... and a community spirit from residents which is brimming with friendliness.
Our gorgeous valley is in West Yorkshire, with good commuting links to Leeds and Manchester. There are numerous special places in town including the award winning Trades Club for music lovers, an art deco Picture House community cinema, and our hub at the Town Hall.
West Yorkshire has hit The Cool List 2019 of must-see destinations according to National Geographic Traveller, and Hebden Bridge was proud to be crowned winner of the 'Best Small Market Town' award and 'People's Choice' award in the Great British High Street Awards in 2016.
You may have also seen Hebden Bridge on the telly! The popular and award winning 'Happy Valley' series created by Sally Wainwright was filmed here.
Our neighbours are pretty impressive too. Haworth was home to the Bronte Sisters where they lived and wrote their famous novels, and Halifax showcases The Piece Hall, a sprawling 18th-century cloth hall which is now shops, bars and restaurants.
